The EMEA 2016 rankings are based on research covering 81 countries and conducted annually, providing a detailed qualitative assessment of various factors including work conducted by law firms over the past 12 months and historically; experience and depth of teams; specialisms and ancillary services; and, importantly, opinions of law firms’ clients – each year, The Legal 500 series contacts over 250,000 clients globally to obtain feedback on which law firms meet the criteria required by today’s in-house counsel and business leaders, wherever in the world their work takes them. All of this is used to benchmark each law firm versus competitors in the practice area in question.
In 2016, Živković Samardžić has been ranked in Banking and Finance, Competition, Commercial, Corporate and M&A and Real Estate and Construction practice areas and is praised for:
- advising lender AIK Banka on EUR 30m in loans for the financing of Montenegro’s waterfront development, Dukley Gardens;
- defending Telekom Srbija in high-profile alleged abuse of dominance proceedings concerning wholesale ADSL broadband access and internet transit services;
- representing the Austrian Development Agency with a EUR 127m flood recovery and protection project, and
