It aims to improve market transparency, competition, and consumer protection, ensuring non-discriminatory practices. It also grants thermal energy buyers the right to the &#8220;endangered customer&#8221; status, allowing for bill reductions, similar to electricity and gas customers. Moreover, <strong>e-energy<\/strong> will be introduced to streamline procedures and accelerate permit issuance.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">\u2022 <strong>Law on Mining and Geological Research:<\/strong> Amendments focus on more efficient management of mineral and geological resources in Serbia. It expands the<strong> Geological Survey of Serbia&#8217;s responsibilities<\/strong> and establishes the <strong>Chamber of Mining and Geological Engineers. E-mining<\/strong> will simplify and speed up approval processes, reducing the timeline from 150 days to just 15\u201320 days.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>New Laws:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>\u2022 Law on the Use of Renewable Energy Sources:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Focuses on <strong>environmental protection, climate change mitigation,<\/strong> and <strong>cost reduction<\/strong> for citizens, while simplifying procedures.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Introduces <strong>market premiums<\/strong> (replacing feed-in tariffs) to encourage competition and reduce costs, applicable to all but small plants.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Creates <strong>a stable legal framework<\/strong> for investors, with <strong>e-energy<\/strong> for faster administrative processes.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Encourages <strong>citizen participation<\/strong> in the energy transition, allowing individuals to install solar panels and reduce electricity bills.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Prohibits the construction<\/strong> of hydropower plants in protected areas.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>\u2022 Law on Energy Efficiency and Rational Use of Energy:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Introduces <strong>eco-design regulations<\/strong> for household appliances and <strong>highly efficient cogeneration<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Establishes an administration for <strong>energy efficiency financing<\/strong> within the Ministry of Mining and Energy, making it easier for citizens to obtain subsidies for upgrading homes (windows, insulation, heating systems).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Subsidies will cover <strong>25% of costs<\/strong>, with local governments matching the same amount, while citizens will contribute <strong>50%<\/strong>.
