{"id":8062,"date":"2020-12-07T12:17:33","date_gmt":"2020-12-07T12:17:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zslawv2.52improvements.com\/webinar-eu-trademarks-law\/"},"modified":"2026-07-06T07:57:20","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T07:57:20","slug":"webinar-eu-trademarks-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zslaw.rs\/sr\/webinar-eu-trademarks-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Webinar EU Trademarks Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">The Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office and the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), organized a two-day webinar on December 1-2, as part of the Technical Support Program of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, titled &#8220;Strengthening the Capacity to Enforce European Union Law.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Participants gained valuable insights into EU trademark protection rules and recent developments in this field. The webinar covered both traditional and contemporary issues, including the relationship between trademark law and fundamental rights, trademarks and geographical indications, and non-traditional trademarks. It also addressed practical matters such as proving reputation and notoriety, evidence of trademark use, and enforcement challenges, deepening participants&#8217; understanding of this area of law.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Vesna \u017divkovi\u0107, Senior Associate at \u017divkovi\u0107 Samard\u017ei\u0107, participated in the webinar. She shared, &#8220;The webinar provided valuable insights into EU trademark law and key case law on specific trademark issues. It was a pleasure to be part of this event.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px;\">Vesna joined \u017divkovi\u0107 Samard\u017ei\u0107 in 2009 after overseeing the Regulatory Issues Control Department for Reputation Risk at an international bank. She has also served as a research assistant at the Institute for Comparative Law and as Vice Chairperson of the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) from 2006 to 2007. Vesna lectured on Commercial Contracts at the Union University Faculty of Law in Belgrade.
