Slobodan has been practicing law since 1996 and has been with Živković Samardžić since its founding in 1998. He is a Partner heading Živković Samardžić Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Intellectual Property and Competition practices.
Slobodan is a long-standing legal adviser to several established Serbian and international telecoms operators, media content producers, broadcast, print, and online media, and their associations. He served as a policy advisor to the Serbian government concerning harmonization of national legislation with the ECHR case-law, relevant CoE treaties, and standard-setting instruments in the field of media and the EU regulatory framework for electronic communications networks and services.
Slobodan is an accomplished intellectual property, media, and telecommunications litigator, focusing on patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, freedom of expression, as well as complex media and telecoms regulatory disputes. He draws on his sophisticated understanding of law, technology, and industry, along with creative problem-solving and litigation skills, to help clients navigate complex legal challenges in and outside the courtroom.
Moreover, Slobodan is an experienced competition lawyer. He regularly handles merger control filings in Serbia and advises clients on a wide range of commercial practices, including distribution, licensing, and co-operation arrangements. Slobodan assists clients in antitrust investigations and handles cartel and abuse of dominance cases.
