Živković Samardžić, a leading independent law firm in Serbia, advised Fifth Quarter Ventures (FQV) on becoming an Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) in Serbia. On April 21, 2023, the Securities Commission granted FQV permission to transform into an AIF Management Company, moving it closer to establishing the fourth alternative investment fund in Serbia.

FQV is an early-stage VC fund focused on investing in top startups from the Western Balkans, especially those that have outgrown local investors. It also targets startups led by Serbian and Croatian founders in the diaspora and elite US/Canadian startups with a Balkan presence. FQV plays an active role in product development and team building to secure investments from Tier 1 VCs in Silicon Valley.
