Živković Samardžić, a leading full-service law firm in Serbia, served as local counsel for Nestlé in the Adriatic region during its 50/50 joint venture with UK-based R&R Ice Cream. This collaboration led to the creation of Froneri, a new global joint venture in ice cream, frozen foods, and chilled dairy. The deal was completed after securing necessary regulatory approvals, with Nestlé and PAI Partners, R&R’s owner, each holding equal stakes.

With a projected sales volume of €2.6 billion, Froneri will operate in 22 countries, employing 15,000 people. The company, headquartered in the UK, will have operations spanning Europe, the Middle East (excluding Israel), Argentina, Australia, Brazil, the Philippines, and South Africa.

Nestlé was globally advised by Linklaters, while Živković Samardžić’s team, consisting of partners and other attorneys from Živković Samardžić, handled the Adriatic region aspects of the transaction.
