On September 14th, 2011, Slobodan Kremenjak, attorney at law from Zivkovic Samardzic Law Offices, spoke on television B92 about the future strategy of media development in Serbia, especially the part of the Strategy not yet agreed between the RS Government and media and journalists' associations. More than a decade, Zivkovic Samardzic Law Offices advise significant media and media and journalists' associations in Serbia in various fields, among other, in their relations with competent regulatory bodies and ministries within the Serbian Government. The confidence of the entire media community in our work has resulted in the nomination of Slobodan Kremenjak by the most important media and journalists? associations as their representative in the working group within the Ministry of Culture, media and information society, which has submitted draft of media strategy to the Minister Predrag Markovic on June 1st, this year. In the news, Slobodan Kremenjak was speaking about the destiny of the media strategy draft text in the meantime, as well as about disagreements still persisting between the authorities and media and journalists associations with regards to certain solutions.
Mortgage as a Real Security Right - Practical IssuesAssociation of Serbian Banks and Živković Samardžić Law Offices organized, on 20th of May, 2011, seminar titled "Mortgage as a Real Security Right - Practical Issues" held at the Association of Serbian Banks.
The aim of this seminar was to discuss the issues and point out the problems related to the mortgage, which are current in practice, to consider any new opportunities provided by the existing regulations and those in preparation, and to promote competent and responsible access to the most important issues in this area through active participation of all stakeholders involved in the exercise of rights through the court and out-of-court settlement.
The seminar was attended by over forty representatives of commercial banks in Serbia.
Press conference of the Independent Journalists Association of Serbia (NUNS)The Independent Journalists Association of Serbia (NUNS) announces a new service for its members within the project Free of Charge Legal Support for the members of NUNS.
With the support of organizations Civil Rights Defenders and MLDI (Media Legal Defense Initiative), NUNS began collaboration with Živković Samardžić Law Offices, within which legal services related to professional rights will be provided to the members of the Association.
In addition to providing advice, in cases of violations of journalists' professional rights, based on pre-prescribed criteria, Živković Samardžić Law Offices will represent the members of the Association in the court of law. This service will cover lawsuit cases relating to the Law on Public Information, Criminal Code and Law on Contracts and Torts.
