Last week, organized by Forum media, on the premises of the Envoy Conference Center, a two-day workshop was held on the topic of the position of traders in procedures for achieving the protection of consumer rights, and which gathered the representatives of distinguished companies operating on the domestic market. Participants of the workshop had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the relevant legal framework, and to familiarize themselves in detail with the judicial and extrajudicial procedures in which traders may be found as a party, and in relation with the protection of consumer rights, as well as to hear about the differences in terms of responsibility of sellers for non-conformity of goods and responsibilities from the warranty, i.e. about the specificities in terms of the position of traders in cases of online sale of goods. Additionally, one of the goals of the workshop was the interactive exchange of the best examples in practice.
The workshop was led, in the capacity of lecturers, by Sava Pavlović, Corporate and M&A Senior Associate, Živković Samardžić and Vera Despotović, Senior Advisor in the area of market supervision on behalf of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
